Yet another poll on the race for Governor among the Democrats (Public Policy Polling), and I’m starting to feel non-Dem poll fatigue (if it was a Republican primary, odds are I’d be dissecting each one for an hour).
This poll is the latest one to show Deeds on the move (in this case, moving into a tie with Moran). Interestingly enough, the first piece of advice PPP had for Deeds was as follows: “Improve his standing in Northern Virginia” (in fairness, theye did note the WaPo‘s endorsement).
While Deeds has the most moderate reputation among the three Democrats, I can’t go without saying that he also has the worst record among them on tax increases. In fact, Deeds and Moran supported the hideous HB3202, and if the former does manage to sneak by Terry McAuliffe to win the nomination, it could effectively neutralize Bob McDonnell’s biggest weakness.
Primary day is (still, of course) June 9.
