How bad are things in Great Britain? Bad enough to make Labour columnists look thrifty…

We were all told in 2010 that the newly-minted Conservative/Liberal Democratic coalition would pull its nation out of the debt doldrums; establish a model for civility in politics; and show Republicans how to behave in the modern political world – all at the same time.

Three years later, Britain has turned its back on freedom of the press; the balanced budget of 2015 is now, maybe, scheduled for 2017; and the government has decided £25 million (over $37 million) in taxpayer money should go to a refurbished stadium for a soccer team…

It has gotten so bad that Dan Hodges – unabashed Labor man – is now able to freely slam the Tories and Lib Dems from the right (Telegraph).
