Governor McDonnell’s transportation tax hike on the House side is HB2313, which passed the House Finance Committee yesterday. The Senate version is SB1355; it passed the Senate Finance Committee this afternoon (Daily Press).
Unlike the House vote, this version was straight party-line…although three of the Republican “ayes” insisted they want changes to the bill.
We’ll see what happens on the Senate floor, but so far, it’s the Governor 2, taxpayers 0.
