I have a few friends and a great many in-laws in Texas, so I’m starting to pay more attention to the Lone Star State’s politics these days. The interesting race out there was a three-way Republican primary for Governor (incumbent Rick Perry, Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, and Paulist Debra Medina are the candidates).
As will happen when the top two candidates beat each other up so much, Medina was starting to get more attention.
Well, that all fell apart tody on Glenn Beck, who exposed her as a 9/11 “Truther” (Jim Geraghty).
Guess it’s Perry or bust for me, then.

I heard that interview. It was a set-up from the start.
As for the label, “9/11 Truther” just what is wrong with asking for an investigation of who was behind the attacks?
If you recall Pearl Harbor, everyone was told that it was a surprise attack, but many years later, the truth was revealed that several elements of FDR’s government knew the attack was coming, yet they kept most of the Pacific Fleet at Pearl, anyway. Some speculated that the intel was not specific enough and that the Aleutians could have been the target, but that never excused the Intel failure or the Command failure of keeping all of our fleet in one easily targeted location.
People should question the story that some guy in a cave in Afghanistan executed a multi-target attack on the USA, by using suicide hijackers aboard airliners. It is illogical to accept such a far fetched story, just because it is the official story of our recent government. Who knows what TRUTHS the “Truthers” will discover in the coming years?

5. “Contras? Ollie North? I don’t remember.” -Reagan

7. “We have no troops in Laos” -Nixon
8. “Oswald acted alone.” -Johnson
9. “Gary Powers…Oh, he’s a weather pilot.” -JFK
10. “Bay of Pigs? Did not involve U.S. forces.” -JFK
I don’t necessarily buy the conspiracy theories, but based on past lies dumped on us by our own government, I think that maintaining a healthy skepticism about the official version of 9/11 and other stories presented to us by our government, is a prudent approach to take.
I certainly would not rule out a candidate because that blubbering idiot, Glenn Beck, ambushed her on his radio show.
