I thought this election was over

Listening to MSM and the Democrats, one gets the feeling that the next two weeks are irrelevant – the election is over and that’s that.  What with everyone from Christopher Buckley to Colin Powell clamoring for a seat on the Obama-train, such feelings are understandable.  Heck, watching the Bush Administration cave into North Korea and seize pieces of our leading banks by eminent domain, one would be forgiven for thinking Obama is already President.

However, the memo clearly didn’t reach the editors of the Daily Press (h/t Bearing Drift, emphasis added):

. . . (McCain’s) long and public record, and his forthrightness about his values and plans, leave fewer doubts about where he will take this nation, and whether he’s capable of getting there. He will focus on building the infrastructure of success — freedom, responsibility, judicious regulation, well-placed incentives — instead of hoping to achieve success by extending government’s reach and responsibilities.

John McCain is the better choice to lead us, and the editorial page of the Daily Press urges you to vote for him on Nov. 4.

Now, I beat up the DP pretty consistently – and deservedly - during the transportation special session; I remind you of this, dear reader, to emphasize that the DPis very much a MSM paper.

For any MSM media outlet to do this is very large, flashing sign that this thing isn’t over just yet.
