So, let’s see where we are now.
We have Andrew Sullivan still trying desperately to save his credibility by demanding medical records on Governor Palin’s last pregnancy (NRO - Media Blog). Most of the rest of the leftosphere has resorted to snickering comments about her impending grandmotherhood (look to the end of this Not Your Sweetie post).
Yet somehow, amidst all the panic, poison, and patriarchicalism (sorry, needed to make chauvinism start with a “p” and this was the best I could do), there was an actual political criticism of Governor Palin – relayed by HuffPo, of all people (via Media Blog):
(The Anchorage Daily News) found a number of leading Republican officeholders in the state who mocked Palin’s qualifications. “She’s not prepared to be governor. How can she be prepared to be vice president or president?” said Lyda Green, the president of the State Senate, a Republican from Palin’s hometown of Wasilla. “Look at what she’s done to this state. What would she do to the nation?”
Under normal circumstances, the left would be smart enough to take Lyda Green’s words and spread them all across the country. Instead, they are so deep in sludge that yours truly ends up mentioning them in a desperate attempt to raise the level of debate.
Then again, it might be better for the left not to mention Green too much. Green’s little group of Senate Republicans have a history of stuffing the state’s capital budget with pork, and Palin has twice put the meat ax to said budget (Alaska Journal of Commerce and Anchorage Daily News). Green’s response in the first link all but screamed Aurora Chichesteralis.
Still, a political criticism – even one grounded in error like this one – is far better than the sludge in which the bobots (© 2008, Not Your Sweetie) have been trading.

The Alaska Republicans have problems with their own versions of John Chichester (i.e. spendthrift RINOs who are more than willing to sell out conservatives). Alaska has many similarities to Virginia in that regard.

As a democrat, I don’t feel the need to bash Sarah Palin, as she will do that herself. On the topic of her daughter’s pregnancy, Mr. Obama is correct in saying family is off limits. I did here a question posed on NPR however that really made me go hmmmm. That was, would the GOP be feeling all warm and fuzzy about Palin’s underage daughter being illegitimately pregnant if this was a black person?

That question, in a nut shell, reveals you to be completely ignorant about who Republicans are and what they think.
Slither back under the rock from which you crawled, please.

[...] President) and Gail Phillips (former House Speaker). I’ve already detailed how Palin has used the veto pen to stop Green from stuffing the state budget with pork. As for Phillips, the Anchorage Daily News sheds some light on things (via Media Blog): Phillips [...]
