Yours truly has been keeping an eye on the most dangerous Republican presidential candidate: Mike the tax-hiker Huckabee. I’m not alone; fellow Republican Liberty Caucus Member and Old Dominion Blog Alliance blogger Leslie Carbone has been keeping an eye on the a particularly outrageous action by the former Governor of Arkansas: a strong-arm move to grant parole to a rapist who then murdered a woman in Missouri.
It’s the Republican version of Willie Horton.
I can only imagine how Leslie will react to this (other than perhaps some regret that she was beaten to the punch on this by the ODBA’s resident night owl). From ABC News:
A Missouri mother says she will do “whatever it takes” to stop former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee from becoming president, because he freed the man who went on to rape and murder her daughter, Carol Sue Shields (pictured).
“I can’t imagine anybody wanting somebody like that running the country,” Lois Davidson of Adrian, Mo., told the Blotter on ABCNews.com.
Well, Ms. Davidson (and Leslie), FWIW, I can’t imagine it either.

From a policy perspective, Huckabee is the worst candidate in the GOP field, worse than Giuliani, Romney or McCain. He must be stopped. Good meeting you at the Advance at the Hunter table, BTW.
